This week we have been celebrating our fantastic staff team here at Spring Brook Academy. On Tuesday evening we gathered together to look at the wonderful work the staff team here do. We awarded certificates to the staff and all shared some light snacks as part of our Celebration Evening.
Year 9 have been busy making a class time capsule for Science this week and have worked really hard putting it all together. They have had an excellent independent cookery class this week where they have chosen their own recipes and on Friday they spent the morning washing cars to make money for their class funds..
Our Nurture Group have been working hard too..
Wow, where has this week gone? We have had a busy but quieter week in the Nurture room. Harry and Leo have completed lots of work. In their Maths lessons they have being retrieving data from graphs and completing surveys to draw their own. The boys didn’t cook this week as they visited Positive Cycles to collect the bikes for Bikeability next week.
In our English lessons the boys have enjoyed using the interactive white board to complete phrases in the right tense..
A short blog this week, as I have spent a lot of time in trustees meetings. Next week I am looking forward to welcoming 2 new students to our Spring Brook family: Namal and Keelan.
I am also looking forward to being in school focusing on teaching and learning. On Monday some students will be doing their Bikeability award – watch this space for news and photos on the next blog!
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Rodgers
